Welcome to one of the oldest, largest, and
most active, bicycle clubs in the country!
Originally
founded as the Metuchen Bicycle Touring Society in 1968, we officially
changed our name to Central Jersey Bicycle Club in 1979, and incorporated
in 1993.
Club
rides are scheduled throughout the year.
From 10-mile jaunts taken
at a leisurely pace, to metric century rides (62.2 miles) that cross multiple
NJ counties, CJBC has rides for bicyclists of all abilities. |
CJBC also sponsors a variety of ride events during the year:
- Farmlands Flat Tour is our largest ride with an average 800
to1000 riders
- The Hillier Than Thou ride is a 62- and 100-mile, extremely
hilly, time trial ride with prizes.
- The Longest Day is our distance challenge. It is a one-day,
200-mile bicycle ride from High Point to Cape May, NJ.
- Member Appreciation / Anniversary Rides
All of these rides are chaired and staffed by Club volunteers. |
